As a teenager, I coveted the Roland Jupiter-8. Of course, it had a lot to do with Duran Duran and Depeche Mode heavily relying on it for their early hits, but Roland's 80s flagship is considered by many to be the synthwave polysynth of that era.
Even now, I’m smitten with the Roland System-8. It nails the sound of the Jupiter (and Juno 106, thanks to the plug-out system), and its AIRA synth engine is equally spectacular.
